D.P., "Mount Joy"

Mark Sparrough, SOC, is a DC-born, New York-based Cinematographer and Steadicam/Camera Operator with over 20 years of experience in the television and film industry.

His cinematography work straddles the worlds of feature film, television, branded content, and music videos. Some of his most recent credits include the movies "Snatchers," "Before/During/After," and "Mount Joy," as well as television shows such as Hulu's "Deadbeat" and BET's "50 Central."

His camera work has taken him through the White House with President Obama for NBC, ABC and CBS News, into flooded sewers for National Geographic, and on location for numerous scripted television shows and documentaries. He has worked for HBO, Netflix, HULU, Prime, F/X, National Geographic Channel, Discovery,  Spike, BRAVO, USA Network, Food Network, Cartoon Network and more.  

Mark is a member of the International Cinematographer’s Guild (IATSE Local 600), Steadicam Operators Association (SOA) and the Society of Camerapersons (SOC). He lives in Brooklyn, and, when not shooting interesting projects, he’s probably digging through somebody’s dusty basement for old records or out fishing.
